Pr. Michelle Miller
Pastor Michelle L. Miller grew up in Anoka, Minnesota a suburb of Minneapolis. She received her B.E.S., with an emphasis in Special Education and Elementary Education, from St. Cloud State University.
She was very active in her church as a youth and young adult and felt a call to ministry while in high school. Three days after graduating from college she began seminary at Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. Michelle’s internship was with an urban congregation, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jersey City, New Jersey and her first call in 1994 was to a rural congregation, First Lutheran Church Volga, South Dakota.
Two years later she moved to Chicago and served as interim pastor in three different congregations. In 1999 she began working at the ELCA Churchwide offices as Director for Women in Leadership and Ministry.
While working at the ELCA she also served Holy Trinity on a contract basis as Pastoral Associate, but in 2006 the call to Holy Trinity became official and she now works 1/3 time as Associate Pastor, with an emphasis on Children and Family Ministry.
Michelle is also a mom to three young children and a chaplain at North Shore University Health System Hospice. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and entertaining family and friends.
